British Royal ceremonies
British Royal ceremonies. Introduction.
British people are proud of pageants and ceremonies of the national capital – London. Many of them are world famous and attract numerous tourists from all over the world. They include daily ceremonies and annuals. Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace at 11.30 a. m., Ceremony of the Keys at 10 p. m. in the Tower, Mounting the Guard at the Horse Guards square are most popular daily ceremonies. Of those which are held annually the oldest are the most cherished are: the glorious pageantry of Trooping the Color, which marks the official birthday of the Queen (the second Saturday in June); Firing the Royal Salute to mark anniversaries of the Queen’s Accession on February 6 and her birthday on April 21; opening of the Courts marking the start of the Legal Year in October; and Lord Mayor’s Show on the second Saturday in November, when the newly elected Lord Mayor is driven in the beautiful guilded coach pulled by six white horses to take the Royal Court of Justice where he takes his oath of office and becomes second in importance in the City only to the Sovereign (Queen).
Trooping the color.
Trooping the color is one of the most magnificent military ceremonies in Britain and perhaps in the world. It is held annually on the reigning monarch’s “official” birthday, which is the second Saturday in June.
Queen Elizabeth II is Colonel – in – Chief of the Household Division of five regiments of foot Guards and two regiments of Mounted Guards. The Trooping marks the official birthday of the Queen and each year the color (flag) of one of the five regiments of Foot Guards is displayed to the music of massed bands.
The ceremony stemmed from the need of soldiers to recognize the colors of their regiment in battle. The Parade is complex and precise and all seven regiments of the Household division take part, but only one color is trooped each year.

Mass Media in Russia
Mass Media in Russia
In our society the information plays a great role. Since the 20s нears of the 20th century the mass media developed quickly all over the world. However, the storyof them is much longer.
In the antiquity express couriers ran and rode from one town to the others to tell news. With the invention of the printing the first newspapers appeared which were delivered by special services like posts. At the beginning of 20th century the radio was invented, and one could already read not only new information, but also listen to the news. The television which since the 50s years of the 20th century has come almost into every house of the world also innovate the information exchange. And the developing of the Internet can be compared with an explosion.
There are all kinds of mass media in Russia. There are prints, for general and specified themes (that is for experts). Some of them express certain political views, however, the others are neutral. There is also a lot of papers which consist only of advertisements.
The radio canals also differ from each other. In every region of Russia there is a state station where regional news, children's programs and cultural broadcastings and others are transmitted. Several stations have whole Russia as an auditorium and are supported by the state.
The private radio canals deal more with modern music. They offer also a lot of the listener's plays which are transmitted immediately. The broadcastings are amusing, the Radios-Jees are young and funny. And the audience of the private radio canals is also much younger, than that of the state radio canals.
One can observe the same situation also on television. However, the quality of the broadcastings which are offered by the private television canals is much better.
Now almost all prints, radio canals and television canals have own Internet pages where one can read, or hear, or see everything what stands in the low-spirited displays.
